The Bitcoin Rainbow Chart

Popular, colourful, easy to read — but more art than science. Here is what it actually is, and a more transparent way to read the cycle.

What it is

The Rainbow Chart fits a logarithmic regression to Bitcoin's price history and draws coloured bands around it — from "fire sale" (cheap) to "maximum bubble" (expensive).

The honest caveat

The bands are fitted to past price with no fundamental basis — they shift as new data arrives, and the chart is explicitly "for entertainment." A nice visual, not a model.

A better alternative

Instead of colour bands around price, the ARC Index reads four independent, fundamentals-driven signals into one transparent 0-100 score with five regime zones. Same easy read, far more rigour.

A sharper read than colour bands

Swap the rainbow for one transparent 0-100 score built from real signals.

FAQ

Is the Bitcoin Rainbow Chart accurate?
It is a fitted log-regression drawn around past price, explicitly meant for entertainment — a rough visual, not a predictive model.
What is a better alternative to the Rainbow Chart?
A multi-signal score like the ARC Index, blending the 200-week trend, drawdown, sentiment and liquidity into one transparent 0-100 reading.
